Small Group Ministry

Intimate circles where members explore questions of meaning, ethics, and personal experience together. Small groups offer a deeper level of connection than Sunday mornings alone.

Social Justice & Outreach

We believe love is not only a feeling but an action. Our members engage in community service, advocacy, and outreach that reflects our core values of equity, dignity, and compassion.

Lifelong Learning

Adult religious education draws on philosophy, world spiritual traditions, science, and the arts. Whether you are new to UU or a lifelong member, there is always more to discover.

Seasonal Celebrations

From solstice observances to holiday gatherings, we mark the turning of the year with events that draw on many traditions and honor the rhythms of life and community.

Coffee & Conversation

After every Sunday service, we linger over coffee and talk. In these informal moments — around a table in Alexandria, warm cup in hand — some of the most meaningful connections are made.

Our Story

A Small Community with an Open Heart

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Alexandria is a close-knit congregation rooted in the principles of free inquiry, respect for every person, and the conviction that each life holds inherent worth and dignity. We gather each Sunday from September through May at 1245 Elliott Street — a space open to anyone who seeks thoughtful, non-creedal community, regardless of their background, belief, or life experience.

  • Free Inquiry, Not Fixed Doctrine We do not ask you to sign a creed or adopt a prescribed set of beliefs. Every person is encouraged to explore their own spiritual path, informed by reason, compassion, and the wisdom of many traditions.

  • Radically Welcoming Whatever your background, identity, or history with religion, you are genuinely welcome here. Our small size means you will be known and valued as an individual, not simply a face in the crowd.

  • Connected to a Larger Movement As a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association, we draw on the resources and shared mission of a global network while remaining deeply rooted in central Louisiana.
